Paint Silica Matting Agent Precipitated Silica Used For Waterbased Coatings

Description

1, Waterbased coatings are considered “green” or environmentally friendly as the VOC content is generally very low or negligible in quantity. Waterbased coatings can be applied over almost all ink types utilizing flexo/anilox, gravure, ink-train and roller coaters or variations of these. Waterborne products have also used in the industrial finishing of wood, plastic and metal substrates.

2, Silica Matting Agent specialized used for Matte/Semi-gloss waterbased Coatings. It provided high matting efficiency, excellent coating appearance and high transparency. As well as low oil absorption, easy dispersion and smoothly touch with minimal impact of viscosity. Generally, the untreated products provide highly effective matting at minimal addition levels, thus enabling the formulation of clear, low-gloss finishes with high transparency and chemical resistance properties.

Characters

1, Avoids coagulation of shear-sensitive binders; and reduced micro-foam generation and lower demand for anti-foam or defoamer additives.

2, Excellent Transparency. The refractive index of silica is comparable to most resin systems.

3, Surface smoothness and improvement in scratch resistance: These silicas have minimal effect on the physical properties, allowing development of smooth films with excellent hand-feel, scratch resistance and stain resistance.

4, Easy to Disperse: Advanced rubbing technology makes narrower distribution of diameter of granules, so that matting agent can be easily added in any production procedure and can be easily dispersed, which saves the processing time.
