Silica cloth is a high performance inorganic textile fabric that is comprised of high purity, high strength amorphous silica fibers, woven into a strong, flexible fabric designed for use where severe temperature conditions exist.

The content of silicone dioxide is more than 96% and the weight loss of ignition is less than 3%.It is an ideal replacement for asbestos product used for thermal insulation and heat protection. It will not burn, rot, mildew or deteriorate and resist most acids.

With the ability to withstand continuous temperature of 900 degree Celsius and most significantly, the instantaneous temperature of 1400 degree Celsius.High silica cloth has been specially developed to use in the applications to protect against extreme temperature environment.

Silica cloth has excellent thermal insulation characteristics over a very wide temperature range and doesn’t melt until temperature exceeds 3000 degree Fahrenheit. They also have excellent chemical resistance and electrical insulation properties.They are used in many applications like, welding/cutting protection, molten metal splash protection, heat and flame shielding and more.It is also be used for the rocket, the missile, the thermal insulation of spacecraft, ablative materials, high temperature-proof materials and high temperature-resistant insulation materials.
